General description of the collection: The William B. Crawford photograph collection includes a collection of WWI photographs and postcards, about a quarter of which pertain to the 89th Division in the United States (U.S.) and in the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF). These are not official photos, but some are commercially produced views. About a third of the collection deals with a variety of aspects of the war, not of the 89th Division and none in any depth. There are also numerous picture post cards of scenes in Europe and the U.S. Photos of family and friends make up the remainder of the collection.
